Diamonds are tough, but they still need to be nurtured to ensure a lifetime of brilliance. Keep your diamond jewellery sparkling by cleaning it regularly. We advise using a soft brush and a mild solution of soap and warm water. Alternatively, make use of our free professional cleaning service.
Simple, everyday habits can threaten your diamond’s welfare so remove or protect your jewellery before exposing it to any harsh chemicals or abrasive solutions. This can include anything from applying suncream, perfume or makeup, to washing up or using household cleaning products.
When you’re putting on or removing your diamond jewellery, avoid grasping the stone or setting. This will help to keep the diamond nice and secure in its setting and help prevent any oil buildup from your hands affecting the gem’s stability.
Your diamond jewellery is precious and has undoubtedly become a tangible expression of your emotions and memories. With this in mind, it is essential to keep it safe, both when its on your body and when it's not. Protect it against loss, theft or damage with diamond jewellery insurance.
Keep your diamond jewellery sparkling at home with some mild dish soap, warm water and a soft-bristled brush. A toothbrush works just fine.
Prepare a container with warm water and a dash of dish soap. Allow your diamond ring to soak for 20-40 minutes to loosen any dirt and oils. Then softly brush the jewellery and rinse with clean, warm water.
After cleaning, gently dry off your jewellery with a lint-free cloth. Avoid rubbing too hard to prevent scratching. If desired, you can use a jewellery polishing cloth to give the diamond and metal a gentle buff for added shine.
Alongside regular home cleans, we recommend taking your jewellery to be professionally cleaned every six months. We offer ultrasonic jewellery cleaning, polishing as well as an annual service at our studio. For more details regarding these services, please visit our website.
